A Forthcomic Explanation

  • Oh yeah, dig. Totally.

I find OMG PACKING AAAA works well for this too.

  • I dunno, I find the idea of a Webcomics Tabloid very amusing. I think someone should make one.

  • As long as everyone votes for me at the WCCAs, I'm fine with this.

  • I know how you feel, Ping... (sigh) I just want it to all be over. What a pain...

  • Cricket: I thought it was an AWESOME idea, but highly doubt I have the personality type (and time) to carry this kind of thing off. If someone does take up the idea though, I have no doubt they won't have a shortage of material!

Abby: Tell me about it. Think about about good uses the energy wasted arguing over the damn thing could have been put to use to.

    Like making comics. ;)

  • It's probably a good thing I've steered clear of all the broo-ha-ha lately, considering how much trouble I've had just coming up with comics and drawing them. If I'd been entangled in "discussions," I probably wouldn't have gotten anything drawn.

  • excellent comic Ping.

As for the tabloid idea I'm glad that no one is leaping to label Comixpedia as such :)

  • "I WAS JOEY MANLEY'S LOVE SLAVE"
    "TORG TORPEDOED? SUPER EXCLUSIVE HINTS"
"THE SECRET HISTORY OF WEBSNARK: HOW MANY BODIES IN BURNS' BASEMENT?"

    Yep, this is fun!

  • Ok, that made me laugh non-stop for a whole minute!

The next thing you know someone steals two copies of the latest Flight anthology before it's published, tries to sell them for a ridiculous price, and two reporters try to buy them, resulting in a gun being fired!

Hmm... "The Webcomics Tattler" has a ring to it, though... do you think?

  • Hm, I forgot, you're across the pond, right? So your definition of "tabloid" is a little different from mine. Maybe just a hair more redeemable.

  • lol
    i love those headlines too.
forget "player v player" - it's "webcartoonist v webcartoonist"! it's fun watching it from the stalls.
meanwhile, outside the teacup, the world continues to turn... ;)

  • For a fan of drama, I surprisingly managed to avoid all the latest episodes so far. Wonder if they are getting more boring or it's me that just changed.

As for a webcomic tabloid... That might be the best idea ever. Only the news section of a great many webcomics already take that place.

  • Minivet: Heh no. Over here the tabloids are just as disreputable. I mean... the Sun and Daily Mirror. Or News of the World. Nuff said.

RPin: You've got a good point. That actually makes it easier for anyone wanting to create a webcomics tabloid...

Damn, I almost hope someone makes one now. It'd be hilarious.

    I don't have a basement.
